Spending valentine’s day
Valentine’s Day is around the corner. It’s your first Valentine’s Day since you have entered your relationship and you desperately want to surprise her and make this day memorable for both of you.
You are biting your nails thinking, rethinking and rejecting every ideas that crowds your mind. You are exhausted with all this mental exercise and still left with no clue whatsoever of what to do, where to take her, what to give her, how to make this the most romantic date of her life.
First thing first, find out her likes and dislikes. Throw casual questions that would give you a general idea of what she prefers, without making your intention too obvious and spoiling the surprise. Things like “You know, tulips are my favorite flowers. What are yours?” or “I prefer pies. What do like you like for desserts?” will help you draw her out and give you clues to prepare your surprise.
Don’t go for too expensive gifts. Give her a cute little card, preferably self-made. You can compile a CD of her favorite love songs or an album of your pictures together. If she won’t look for a heavy price tag but the effort you have put behind it.
If you are planning a cozy evening at home, surprise her by cooking her favorite dishes. It doesn’t matter if the pie is over baked, or the potatoes a little burned. It doesn’t matter if you have to end up dining on noodles! She’ll appreciate it just the same.
If you are planning to take her out avoid over congested places like night clubs and amusement parks. It is your special day, don’t waste it. Take her out for a candlelight dinner in her favorite little restaurant. Spend a good evening. Talking brings people closer. Make the best use of it.
Invite her to dance. Hold her close. You don’t need pink champagne or violins to build up the romance. A touch of the hand and a look in the eyes can convey more things than a whole orchestra! Live the dance and the night. Make her feel special. Gift her the best Valentine’s Day ever.
