Stress and how to manage it?

“Stress” the word itself brings negativity. There are 2 categories of stress. Good stress and bad stress. While the former gives you positively, the latter wrecks your life. Stress is good if it helps in bringing out the best in you. It can be in your relationship your profession or your studies. Nervous tension in normal healthy level helps you to perform at optimum heights when required. It gives you that extra bit of emotional and physical zeal and pushes you forward in a good way.

Bad stress on the other hand brings negativity and can ruin your health as well as life. It could lead to medical problems such as, hyper tension, stroke and gastro intestinal issues, Insomnia, depression, the list is endless. Tension makes the body release stress hormones such as adrenalins, nor epinephrine and cortisols. These hormones if present in the body for a short duration and in normal levels help in concentration. But if they are there for a longer period and at higher levels, they start interfering with the bodies natural healing abilities.

A little stress in our lives gives us energy and pushes us to succeed but too much of it takes a toll on our mental as well as physical health. To bring energy in our body, proper arousal is very essential. Excess of arousal will bring stress and harm while lack of it will not bring the enthusiasm required. You won’t get much done. So what is the best solution?

The answer lies in B-a-l-a-n-c-e, there has to be balance between good stress and bad stress.
We have to determine the level of stress which is good for us. If the levels are higher .A proper plan has to be made to decrease them. For instance, start by deep breathing. You can increase gradually and take it to 15-20 minutes Make it a everyday routine. These simple relaxing excersise can de stress your body and give you a youthful look.

Also, Make sure you drink lots of plain water. It has been proved that 80%of the people are dehydrated.
Dehydration causes lack of mental and physical alertness leading to stress. Apart from mental health, water also has a very good effect on the body as whole. It helps to remove waste and toxins from the body. Remember; don’t compensate water with any other drink. There is no substitute.

Another way of tackling stress is by Exercising. It makes the brain release chemicals which make you happier and relaxed. There is no need for your exercise to be boring and drudgery. Take a dance class or go for hiking. Find an activity you enjoy. Whatever makes you moving is okay.
