Owing to the presence of the bacteria named Escheria coli in the urinary tract, urinary bladder infection causes. The bacterium reaches the urinary bladder through the urethra and multiplies inside the bladder causing a fatal infection. However, this disease is more dominant in women than in men.

General urinary bladder infection symptoms:

The symptoms include frequent urination with a foul smell, a burning sensation in the urinary tract while urinating, a perpetual pain in the lower abdomen, irregularly retrieving fever, blood flowing with urine and painful sexual intercourse. Patients of urinary bladder infection always feel an irresistible urge to urinate when the bladder is empty. Nausea associated with vomiting is also a very common symptom.

In case of women, the urethra is shorter in length than that of men. Hence, there is more risk of infections. The bacterium is pushed inside through the urethra to the bladder. This also causes infection and complications during pregnancy. This causes infection in the mother and well as the fetus.

The male urethra is a long, elongated tube. It is practically difficult for the bacteria to push themselves inside the tube. These are urinated and excreted. But, while moving through the urethra towards the prostate, the bacteria can cause enough of infections. The bacteria remaining in the prostate multiply and cause further infection. The symptoms are generalized.

In children, the symptoms are similar. These include, fever with occasional vomiting and difficulty in controlling urine. The symptoms can be a little intensified with growing age, like pain in the abdomen and pelvic region, smelly urine and irritation while urinating.
