Negligence of stained teeth in initial stages can take gigantic form and can later cause major dental illnesses. Teeth whitening is the best solution to get the stains removed. In this process the stains are removed and the teeth get back its original color.

Teeth whitening techniques:-

The teeth can be whitened in number of ways. Some of the most popular ways is by chemical whitening or bleaching, laser teeth whitening, mild acid whitening and abrasive teeth whitening.

Chemical whitening or bleaching- the main aim is to lighten the stains of the teeth. It could be done by professional help of a dentist or even at home. A particular gel is applied on the teeth and a chemical reaction takes place. The chemical penetrates the teeth enamel and the stains that are rooted deep enough get removed.

Laser bleaching- this procedure is recent in teeth whitening techniques. Here a transparent gel is applied over the teeth along with a laser beam. The gel crystals get activated with the energy released from the laser beam. They then pierce through the enamel and whiten the teeth effectively. It is one of the fastest ways of whitening the teeth.

Abrasive teeth whitening- this is done with white tooth pastes. The process acts on the teeth surface. Toothpaste does contain mild abrasives. But the white one contains certain gentle chemicals that give extra cleaning. They are free from any bleaching agents.

Micro abrasion- it’s a gentle way of scrubbing with very mild acid over the teeth. This makes the abrasion process effective.

Any of these procedures is not permanent. The process has to be done after one or two years depending upon the maintenance of teeth.
