Tips For Eating Out Without Breaking Your Calorie Limit

All of us love to eat out; it is a fun experience and treat for every one. At least eating out spares one from doing the dishes and cooking, this is here the best part comes. Well but the most difficult part comes when a person is on a diet then dining out could be difficult. The question is how to put a calorie count when gorging on outside food? Well here are some ways suggested that will ensure a perfect calories count of your diet and you can have a wonderful outing as well.

Go through the menu- it is always suggested to read the entire menu before placing an order. It would be incorrect to be fixated at the first leaf of the menu. You can see what the dish is comprised of and readily check on the ingredient by reading about the dish. By this you can get a rough estimate of the calories before you place an order.

Do not hesitate to place the order first- the other people around you can opt for cheese filled high fat content food. So, it’s better to place your order before them like a grilled chicken salad etc. don’t get swayed by the other scrumptious dishes that others have ordered. Stick to eat healthy, may be you can also become a source of inspiration to them on eating healthy.

Salad as starters- most of the offer bread dishes to nibble while the order is being placed. You can avoid this by ordering a small bowl of green salad or soup rich in stew to satisfy the grumbling stomach. Such food has low calorie counting and higher nutrient content.

Avoid large entrée- a couple of side dishes, soups and salads are good then ordering a large entrée. Most of the restaurants have tasting plates, they would be just the appropriate size for you, and you can try them. You can even share the entrée with one of the companions accompanying you for the meal. By doing this you will cut half of your calorie intake.

Avoid heavy dressings and sauces- usually the dishes are heavily topped with rich sauces and dressings which makes the dish heavier and there are chances that you may end up consuming large portion calories. So, it is better order them on the side, by doing so you can easily control the amount for consumption.

Ask- it is better that you can ask about the recipe before placing the order. There is nothing wrong in it. Does it contain cream, butter or has double dose of cheese etc. Be polite, remember you are paying for it and these restaurants are in the service of business.  And it is you who are paying!
