High blood pressure in men is not to be ignored. If it is detected, you should take it seriously and take preventive measures to control it. It is very difficult to cure high blood pressure completely but it can be controlled easily. If you exercise regularly, avoid stress and depression and eat healthy diet, you can prevent serious problems like heart attack resulting due to high blood pressure.

Stroke is also one of the biggest threats for men. It is caused when blood flow to brain is completely blocked. It mostly happens due to high blood pressure and artherosclerosis. In high blood pressure, blood becomes thick, plaque gets deposited on the walls of the blood vessels and arteries and blood vessels becomes narrow which obstructs the blood flow. Stroke is also caused due to artherosclerosis which results due to smoking. Smoking hardens your arteries and blocks the way of blood by forming plaque on the walls of the arteries. Thus a time comes when blood is unable to reach your brain and the person experiences stroke. You can prevent stroke by regular exercise and by quitting smoking.

Diabetes is another biggest threat for men. Type 1 diabetes is caused when pancreas stop functioning properly. In such condition, insulin is not produced and eventually blood sugar in your body is increased. Type 2 diabetes is caused due to obesity. In such condition, your body is unable to use the insulin produced in your body. In both the cases, your nerves get damaged and may cause kidney failure or paralysis. By controlling your weight you can prevent diabetes.

Lung cancer and colorectal cancer are also biggest health threats for men. But they can be prevented by quitting smoking and by following healthy lifestyle. Men also die young due to prostrate and testicular disease, though they are less common than high blood pressure and diabetes.

Many men also die due to Alzheimer’s disease and depression. Depression leads them to commit suicide. Avoiding smoking and alcohol, leading stress free life, acquiring the habit of doing exercise regularly and eating healthy diet can prevent these health threats.
