Top five ways to keep your kids active in winter time

With temperatures dropping and snow falling, it becomes difficult to keep the kids busy especially during winter time. But with little intelligence and by putting your thinking caps on, one can even overcome the challenge of keeping the kids engaged in controlled environment.

Here are some ways suggested to keep the kids active and get going in cool weathers.

  • A large area like your living area or even your basement can be converted into a work out station. The main mission is to have sufficient room for stretching out without colliding on top of one another. By doing this one can avoid the chances of getting hurt or injured. One can even convert the basement area as a free hurdle course; the children will be occupied and will have a wonderful time too.
  • Creative thinking is a must, it is better if both the parents are included in these activities along with the kids. It will keep them excited. Parents can get involved in some activities like karaoke singing, playing rock band, dancing, having gentle fluffy pillow fight, somersaults and playing word games and other indoor games. Once the activity is done, ask the kids to keep the things back to the respective places.
  • Ask your kids to help you out in the kitchen chores. Take their help in preparing simple recipes and dishes. You can take there help in making salads or decorating cup cream cakes. They will learn and will take pleasure in.
  • Teach them other chores like dusting their room and doing simple laundry. Remember by teaching them and helping them out you are making them independent. They will also learn the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Organize a competition like drawing, painting, writing, extempore, craftwork etc in the neighborhood or community building. The kids love to learn. Also the interaction between multiple kids will be a great learning and fun filled activity.

Make use of these activities, in closed doors near the warm fire place
