Wanna fight Type II Diabetes, consume fruits, spices and broccoli
The old notion of consuming fruits among diabetic patients, will enhance the sugar level is now going to be turned off. A group of scientists from the UK have found that consumption of fruits and vegetables in large quantities will lessen the risk of Diabetes Mellitus type II. The study highlighted that higher, the plasma Vitamin C level in some fruits and vegetables intake helped in diminishing diabetes type II, which is commonly seen in adults. People suffering from this type of condition should avoid taking insulin’s.
The wonder drug is available in the form of fruit and vegetables. These findings are based on the research that continued for almost 12 years. Under this research, almost 20,000 patients, both men and women were studied. They were capable of ascertaining an inverse connection between plasma vitamin C level and chances of developing diabetes.
It was observed that, the probable risk of diabetes development was recorded for as low as 62%. This was lower than the peak quintile of plasma vitamin C, than with the patients with low quintile. Similarly it was observed that, a close association was between these who had haemoglobin A1C level, which was less than 7%. The inverse relation was found weaker, in the intake of fruits and vegetables and the potential peril of diabetes.
It is a well known fact that, fruits and vegetables are great source of vitamin C and consuming these even in smaller portions, one cab evades the chances of diabetes. The protection against diabetes increases
with the increase, in consumption of these fruits and vegetables.
In another study that, was conducted in Georgia University, it was recorded that consumption of the most common herbs and spices, in dried form helps in driving away diabetes and other chronic ailments. The test was conducted from the extracts of 24 types of herbs and spices. It was observed that these herbs contained high level of antioxidant compounds known as polyphenols. Cinnamon and ground clove are
supposed to have positive impact on ones health.
In another ground breaking research from the team of University of Warwick, it was found that consuming broccoli can reverse the damage done to the cardiovascular system. Broccoli is abundant in a chemical known as sulforaphane; it is a miracle drug for the circulatory system. People suffering from diabetes are more vulnerable to cardiovascular problems. Thus sulforaphane reduces up to 73% of Reactive Oxygen Species.
