Ways To Cut Down Fat

When fat in your body increases it causes many health problems such as high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, stroke, paralysis, diabetes etc. Therefore you must control the increase of fat in your body. There are two ways to control it: consume less fat and reduce fat with exercise. Exercise is important to prevent you from falling prey to various diseases but to control fat its less consumption is the best way to cut down fat. Here are some ways to cut down fat.There are two types of fat: visible and non-visible. The fat which can be seen such as butter, oil, chicken skin etc are known as visible fat. Fat found in foods such as cheese, fast foods, pastries, cream in milk cannot be seen. This type of fat is called as invisible fat. Therefore best way to cut down fat is to avoid such foods.

If you can’t avoid your favourite foods containing fat, you can consume them with a little change. If you are fond of eating eggs, you should avoid consuming its yolk because yolk contains lots of fat and cholesterol. Eat white part of the eggs instead of yolk. Similarly, if you are fond of eating chicken, do not eat its skin because skin is the main culprit which would raise fat in your body. Eat fish instead of meat. You should substitute meat with burgers, bacon etc.

Milk is very good source of Vitamin D, protein and calcium which are very essential for your body but it also contains too much fat which is harmful. Hence consume milk which is fat free (skim milk). Also eat foods rich in fiber such as cabbage, spinach, broccoli etc. Cabbage is one of the best foods to reduce fat.

Prefer nuts in place of chips or other fast foods. Nuts are very rich sources of protein and other nutrients. Use cucumber, apple, tomato or onion instead of using butter or margarine on your bread. While cooking any other foods try to bake or boil them instead of frying them in oil.

Apart from controlling fat diet, you must exercise regularly because it is impractical to eat 100% fat free foods. So once fat goes into your system, only exercise helps in removing it. Drinking plenty of water too controls fat.
