Wrinkles And Its Causes

Wrinkles are thin furrows or lines along with the drooping skin. It is formed on the surface of the skin and can be entrenched deep too. It is not a medical condition but it makes the face and the skin less beautiful. It adds to the age if people develop them. Wrinkles develop in Natural way when people become old. Well here are discussed some more causes of wrinkles:-

Aging- As we age, the skin cells also divide slowly. The dermis with the age starts to thin. And the fat cells get loosened. They lie beneath the cells and also among the elastin and collagen fibers, they are meant to provide scaffolding to the layers. The skin starts loosing its resilience and might not return back to its original position.

Contraction in muscles- when the muscle in the same place contracts then also these fine lines appears. One can see them in between the eye brows, frown lines or crows feet.

Habitual expression of the face- some people tend to make facial expressions that result in formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Drooping eyelids and jowls are also due to it.

Sunlight- if the skin gets exposed to excess sunlight then also wrinkles begins to appear. The ultraviolet rays damage the skin. Almost 90% of wrinkles are developed due to exposure to the harsh sun. It is always recommended to use sunscreen with SPF 15+ when going out in the sun to prevent wrinkles.

Smoking- another major cause of formation of wrinkles is smoking. Thus we can say that people who smoke have premature aging signs in their skin.

Hereditary- some people’s skin tends to age quickly than others. This can be due to genetics. If such signs are common in the descendants of particular family then the offspring produced may also have this problem in their later life.

Weight loss- with weight loss, wrinkles develops. The speedy shriveling up of fat can make the skin sag. Such case is observed after weight loss operation or after pregnancy.

Gender- some studies opine that women are more vulnerable to wrinkles then men.
