Mix together grated beeswax, shea butter and some almond oil by heating them together in a pan over low flame, stirring gently. When the ingredients melt and mix completely remove the pan and keep stirring. When the mixture starts to cool off open and add the contents of one vitamin E capsule and some freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Pour the mixture in a lidded glass jar and secure the cap. Let it cool off to room temperature and then refrigerate.You can use some of the cream at a time to massage gently on the cuticles. This is a great remedy for the prevention of dry cuticles.
Mix together jojoba oil with a few drops of eucalyptus oil. Keep in a container and refrigerate. For regular use dip a cotton swab in this mixture and apply on the cuticles while massaging gently.
Heat some paraffin wax with mineral and coconut oil in a double boiler on low flame. Stir the ingredients gently but continuously. When the wax melts and mixes with the oil completely, remove the boiler from the flame and add some glycerin accompanied by stirring.
Let this mixture cool off naturally and then transfer the contents to a bowl. Now you can use a cotton swab to dab on the paste and massage on the cuticles. The excess mixture should be kept in a lidded container and refrigerated to let it set effectively. This can be used over time to prevent the drying of the cuticles.
Mix equal amounts of olive and apricot oil thoroughly and keep in a bottle. This softener can be applied to the cuticles every night during bedtime with the help of a cotton swab.
Mix equal quantities of olive oil and natural clay with some drops of chamomile oil and place in a jar. This mixture can also be used over time for the prevention of dry cuticles.
Some other essential oils like lavender may also be used in place of chamomile oil for same results.Another instant cuticle softener is the mixture of the contents of one vitamin E capsule with olive oil.
Add some cuticle oil in warm water and soak your fingers for fifteen minutes. This will soften your drying cuticles.Wear gloves while doing regular chores like doing dishes, washing, cleaning toilets and gardening.
Use liquid soap instead of bar soap for bathing and washing hands. This will help your cuticles to retain moisture, since bar soaps tend to dry out the skin faster.And finally moisturize your hands twice every day for healthy cuticles.
